The Lightyear One is the world’s first long-range solar-powered electric car. It can be charged via its solar panels or plugged into a conventional charger. It replenishes its battery while parked or in motion. Lightyear claims a 450-mile range. Prices start at about $170,000 and a European release is expected for early 2021.
The 2020 Mini Cooper SE is BMW’s first all-electric car since the i3. It is based on the standard Mini Cooper 2-door and will have a range of about 140 miles. Production starts at the end of the year and it should reach U.S. shores in March 2020.
Aston Martin confirmed the addition of the DBS Superleggera for the next Bond film, No Time to Die. Bond car veterans the V8 Vantage and DB5 return, and the the Valhalla hybrid hypercar will also make an appearance.

The 2020 Cadillac CT4 lineup includes Sport, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and V-Series trims. Cadillac’s hands-free Super Cruise is optional. Two available engines can be paired with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive systems.
The 2020 Audi RS 7 Sportback made its first appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Its V-8 engine is the same one found in the 2020 RS 6 Avant, and it produces 600 horsepower. A mild hybrid option and room for five passengers are new features for the high-performance grand tourer.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler will offer a 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine. The EcoDiesel produces 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque and is borrowed from the Ram 1500. It will only be available on the four-door Wrangler Unlimited models paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Oloi’s 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS has been modified to be the 997 911 R that never existed. The team at SP Motorsports retained the functionality of the car while doing the same for the new parts and features. The result is on par with a factory build.
The 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant performance wagon is coming to the U.S. next year. Its turbocharged V-8 produces 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. It will hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. It is the first RS 6 model to come to America since the 2003 RS 6 sedan, which was only available here for one year.
The Hyundai i30 N Project C is a lighter, more nimble version of the standard i30 N. Hyundai revealed a camouflaged example ahead of its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The race-inspired hot hatchback uses carbon fiber-reinforced plastics and lightweight wheels to lighten things up. The Project C will be limited to 600 units to be sold only in Europe.
