Oloi and NewYorKars are proud to feature our friend Denis DaSilva’s 2007 Audi RS 4 this month. It combines performance and luxury as only a German sedan can. The B7 RS 4 only came to the U.S. for two years and this example is even rarer for its Imola Yellow paint.
Our fondness for Porsche is no secret, but this month Oloi and NewYorKars are proud to feature Denis DaSilva’s 2007 Audi RS 4. This rare and powerful German sedan marks the last generation RS 4 to reach U.S. shores. It was produced from 2006–08, and was offered here for the final two years. Just a couple thousand B7 RS 4 units were imported and fewer than a hundred were decked out in Imola Yellow paint. This was the second RS model sent to the USDM, following the 2003 RS 6.
The B7 Audi RS 4 was offered in sedan and Cabriolet (convertible) form. Its 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated V-8 engine produces 420 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. This engine was also used in the first-generation Audi R8.
A stock B7 RS 4 will do a 0-60 mph run in 4.6 seconds and a quarter mile in 13.2 seconds at 109 mph.
Denis has always been an “Audi guy.” He has owned a B5 S4 twin-turbo and B6 S4. “I wanted something with more style and a little more power,” Denis said. “Something more unique. The RS 4 is rare and you don’t seem them anywhere. You probably see more R8s than RS 4s. It was mostly because of the uniqueness that I got the RS 4. It comes with a wide body from the factory and it’s really something special.”
Denis modified to his RS 4 to increase performance and tweak its factory appearance. Power was bumped up with a JHM supercharger kits and full cat back exhaust, and various lightweight parts such as new brakes and crank pulleys were swapped in. BC two-piece forged wheels, a lowered suspension, and carbon fiber trim pieces complete the look. The story behind Denis’ acquisition of his Audi RS 4 is one any car lover can relate to.
